Influenced by the Renaissance...

We've come up with a series of finishes each relating to some art historical era.
Do you agree the result seems suddenly trendy? This finish was influenced by the
marble floor patterns we loved in the Siena Duomo.
Completed in venetian plaster (a marble and lime based material),
we think we were able to convey that influence without
compromising the contemporary feel.

A nod to a geometric tile trend this natural hypoallergenic finish has its own advantages.
There is no "fractured" appearance of grout meaning you see only what you need
a seamless pattern on the wall.

it can also be used in high traffic areas and wet locations, with a possibility of combining
shiny and matte finishes which has a great effect for deeper layering and play of light.

And finally this bespoke finish can be completely customised in every imaginable way.

Holiday tree I love thee!

Hi friends, thanks for stopping by. I am new to blogging, but certainly not a newbie to my business of interiors decorative art and design. I dream of sharing loads of information that I have learned over the years. This year I want to turn this dream into reality and hope you'll enjoy reading this almost as much as I'll enjoy sharing it. Together we can make this world a better place for everyone, or at least your place a better one.

I want to start by saying HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone! Seasons Greetings! Here in New York City we celebrate everything. NYC observes all holidays not just Christian, but Jewish and Muslim by suspending alternate street parking rules! World politicians should take note. My favorite part of Christmas is the tree. I love it because it simply brings back the best childhood memories. So I dedicate this post to thee o Christmas tree! Wishing you prosperity joy love and health in the coming year!

Decorating the tree is great because I think it brings out the creative streak in those who don't feel they even have one. And creativity is an escape from the holiday chaos and madness.

here are a just few ideas:

this is my 4 year old son's idea: Trace kids hands or any object on a folded up (harmonica style) gift wrap paper cut out while folded, unfold and viola you have a garland!

and some square headed human figures.

It is a good idea to have a plan about how you will decorate your tree. Pick a theme or use unusual objects vintage goodies, toys, found objects and such. This year I went the traditional rout with a twist. I've decided to stick to a color scheme of silver white and burgundy with touches of gold. Also, I've sprayed the plastic ornaments with fake snow from the can (making up for lack real snow in New York) See the results below.

and here one of the Christmas trees we've painted for Macy's store display some time ago

It would be great to hear and see your tree ideas, so please share.
